1.T code
Since the CNC milling machine does not have a tool magazine, there is no need to use T codes to manage the tool magazine, which is managed by the operator. In the programming instruction: M00: Let the CNC system suspend operation. For example, after the operator changes the tool, press the cycle start button, and the CNC system continues to run.
When the capacity of the tool magazine of the CNC machining center is not enough, M00 can also be commanded to change the tool by the operator. At this time, the CNC machining center is a CNC boring and milling machine.
2. M06 and M19 codes
M06 is a tool change command, and M19 is a spindle orientation command. When there is a tool magazine, M06 is required to change the tool to make the tool on the tool magazine and the tool on the spindle interchange. Since the CNC milling machine does not have a tool library, and cannot use the M06 command to change the tool with the spindle, there is no M06 command.
In order to align the keyway on the tool post with the end key on the spindle end, you need to use the M19 command on the CNC machining center. Since M19 is already included in M06, there is no need to give a separate instruction. When the CNC milling machine changes the tool, the operator aligns the keyway with the spindle end key, so there is no need for M19 instruction here.
CNC milling machines and CNC machining centers are also different in tool change points. Because the CNC machining center has a tool magazine, the tool must be changed at a fixed point. It is generally located at the reference point, some at the first reference point, and some at the second, third or fourth reference point, depending on the structure of the machine tool. Use G28 or G30Pn to command the spindle to return to the reference point and change the tool. Because CNC machining center is a fixed-point tool change, in order to make the spindle accurately return to the reference point, the tool length compensation must be cleared before the tool change, and the CNC milling machine should not be too harsh. When the CNC machining center is cleaning the tool length compensation, if the cleaning position is not selected properly, it may cause an accident.
3. G76 and G89 codes
G76 is a fine boring cycle, and G89 is a reverse (reverse) boring cycle. Because the CNC milling machine may not have the M19 command, these two codes cannot be executed. But in actual processing, CNC milling machine can realize the function of G96 through G88 instruction (manual tool).
The operator manually moves the cutter at the bottom of the hole a certain distance to the tip in the opposite direction, and then manually pulls the cutter from the bottom of the hole. After exiting, move back a certain distance to the tip, the effect is the same. As for the back boring, a programmable fixed cycle decomposition action can be performed by the operator.
CNC milling machine and CNC machining center are the same in interpolation instruction programming.
It can be seen from the above analysis that the CNC milling machine and CNC machining center have the same boring processing capabilities. If it is just because the T code is different from the individual M code and the fixed cycle code, it is divided into CNC machining center programming and CNC milling machine programming, it is not necessary.

COMPARISON OF CNC MILLING MACHINE OPERATION AND CNC MACHINING CENTER OPERATION
The numerical control system used by the numerical control milling machine is the same as the numerical control system used by the numerical control machining center, so the programming and operation are the same. As an operator of a CNC machine tool, the main task is to set up program data.
That is, the workpiece coordinate system offset and the tool length offset are set, and the setting method is the same for the CNC milling machine and the CNC machining center.
Other operations, such as program input and debugging are also the same, so the CNC milling machine operator can completely operate the CNC machining center: whether it is a CNC milling machine or a CNC machining center, it is processed according to the program in the process, in other words, Because the CNC machining center is automatic tool change, the operator is more relaxed, and there will be no tool change errors.
